This guide steps you through the process of adding voltage alarms to a site. Internal voltage alarms can be useful for non rechargeable units such as the WASP2 and WILD-B products, to monitor internal battery voltage. External voltage alarms can be useful for rechargeable units such as the COBRA2 and WILD-R products, to monitor external charge voltage.
Internal Voltage Alarm - 3G Products
1. | From the Sites tab located the logger and click on the Config sensors icon. | |
2. | Under Other Inputs click the Add... button. | |
3. | From the Select Input Type drop down select Calculated Input V2 (Beta), then click Ok. | |
4. | Under the newly created Calculated Input click on the New Input link. | |
5. | In the Input Name field enter in “Internal Battery Voltage” then click Save. | |
6. | Under the Calculated input click on the <NOT CONFIGURED> link. |

7. | In the User Script field enter the text “return Inputs.Battery Voltage.value” | |
8. | Click the Standard radio button then in the Unit field type “volt” and select it from the drop down list. | |
9. | From the Category drop down select Voltage – Device Non-Rechargeable Battery. | |
10. | Click on the Test Script button. If all details have been entered correctly the message Test succeeded will display at the top of the window. | |
11. | Click the Update button. | |
12. | Click on the Alarms tab then click the Add button to add an input alarm. | |
13. | From the Please select a alarm type: drop down list select High/Low then click the Next button. | |

External Voltage Alarm - 3G Products

6. | Under the Calculated input click on the <NOT CONFIGURED> link. | |
7. | In the User Script field enter the text “return Inputs.External Voltage.value” | |
8. | Click the Standard radio button then in the Unit field type “volt” and select it from the drop down list. | |
9. | From the Category drop down select Voltage – Device External Charge. | |
10. | Click on the Test Script button. If all details have been entered correctly the message Test succeeded will display at the top of the window. | |
11. | Click the Update button. | |
12. | Click on the Alarms tab then click the Add button to add an input alarm. | |
13. | From the Please select a alarm type: drop down list select High/Low then click the Next button. | |
14. | Enter the Alarm conditions and recipients as desired.
